Pitch Cartoon Concept

Pitching is the process of informing an audience of your ideas by using words, sounds, expressions, acting, and/or visuals of various sorts.

Write a paragraph(s) to present to the class about your idea(s) for a cartoon group project that will last for about 7 days.
You have the opportunity to be a director during this project and have a crew of cartoonist create your idea. Pitch your ideas to recruit peers to participate. If you like another student's pitch and want to work with them you are allowed to if they need you and your skills.
Some ideas may only need a few people to help while another's may require a more students.

Don't forget to type your cartoon concept in a Word document titled,"Cartoon Summary" . Below is information of the basic expectations.

Cartoon Summary- This section should consist of your cartoon idea. This is what you will present to the class. You will “pitch” your concept to the class or in groups. Your concept should be a short story. It should have a beginning, middle, and ending. You should introduce your main characters and the basic story in some manner. What happens? What’s the point, the purpose, and the message of your story? What’s funny? What’s unique? Make it entertaining, clear, and to the point. Your pitch needs to be around 90 seconds long. It shouldn’t be shorter than one minute or longer than two. Your written pitch should be between one and three paragraphs.
You can read it, act it out, or have a partner help present, but it should be equal contribution by both.

We can submit the best cartoons to various festivals such as the AFF, SXSW, AISD Film Festival!

For homework you are responsible for preparing your pitch (verbal and visuals).
