Pitching is the process of informing an audience of your ideas by using words, sounds, expressions, acting, and/or visuals of various sorts. You will show an animation that you have created from scratch this year to the class while pitching your cartoon idea.
Write a paragraph(s) to present to the class about your idea(s) for a cartoon group project that will last for about 12 days.
Don't forget to type your cartoon concept in your "Cartoon Summary" Word document. Below is information of the basic expectations. Cartoon Summary- This section should consist of your cartoon idea. This is what you will present to the class. You will “pitch” your concept to the class and show something you have created in Flash this year. Your concept should be a short story. It should have a beginning, middle, and ending. You should introduce your main characters and the basic story. What happens? What’s the point, the purpose, and the message of your story? What’s funny? What’s unique? Make it entertaining, clear, and to the point. Your pitch needs to be around 90 seconds long. It shouldn’t be shorter than one minute or longer than two. Your written pitch should be between one and three paragraphs.
We can submit the best cartoons to various festivals such as the AFF, SXSW, AISD Film Festival! For homework you are responsible for preparing your pitch (verbal and visuals).
